GWSL 1100 – Temperature Cable Standard
Grain-Watch™ temperature cable GWSL1100 marks one base of our patented temperature monitoring system (SE536675).
All our temperature cables are made from durable steel conduit cable and fitted with top-quality digital sensors using innovative 1-wire technology. This allows for a thin strong construction with minimal weight. The diameter of the GWSL1100 is only 9.8 mm which significantly limits the roof load.
The sensors come with 2-3 meters spacing and are calibrated for life. No sensor calibration or maintenance is needed – ever.
Cable length is customized to fit the project at hand.
The amount and length of the temperature cables to efficiently monitor the grain temperature, depend on the dimensions (diameter, eaves height, total height) of the silos. Many silo manufacturers provide brackets for temperature cables in fixed positions in their roof assembly. Other customers need an individual setup. We are happy to cater to both. Our project managers use our flexible dimensioning software to make sure you get optimal coverage.
Accurate grain temperature monitoring in big silo bins requires a multi-cable setup. A basic rule is that one GrainWatch™ cable monitors a radius of 3 meters.
