Temperature Monitoring Systems for Grain Storage

The Grain-Watch® Temperature Monitoring System by AB Liros Electronic is a modular, fully digital surveillance system used to monitor the temperature inside grain silos and on-floor storages. The product range includes temperature cables/pendants for silos, various types of temperature spears and probes for use in flat storages and piles, and a variety of monitoring options and accessories.

The Grain-Watch® product range also includes the HCS Humidity Control System for continuous flow dryers, which safely helps to dry the harvested commodity down to its optimal moisture content before being stored, thus adding to its value and providing safer storage conditions.

Temperature monitoring is a vital link in the post-harvest chain and is already a formal requirement in many countries around the world. Measuring the temperature inside the commodity helps to store the grain under optimal conditions, thus adding to its value all the way. “Hot spots” caused by grain respiration, moisture, insect infestation or mold can be detected in time, significantly reducing the risk of loss of value or even spoilage. Can you afford taking risks with your harvest?

System advantages:

  • No sensor calibration or maintenance needed — ever!
  • Modular construction, easily installed, easily expandable
  • 2- and 3-core data bus connections only
  • Ultra-thin temperature cables (9.8mm)
  • Read-out via hand unit, customer-specific PC-software, or Modbus
  • International safety certification: ATEX, IECEx, GOST-R
